Heiner Biedermann born in 1952 in Germany, from a father who such as him combined medicine/surgery and amateur photography. Heiner inherited a darkroom his father had installed in the basement of their new house in the 1960s. This was the start of Biedermann’s extensive voyage on the photography-trail.
Decades of commuting to diverse hospital jobs in Germany meant darkrooms were built and installed wherever Heiner moved to - in disused bathrooms, cellars rooms or annexes. Medicine also took him many distant places; practising accident surgery in various Third World countries. Or China, to gain a deeper knowledge of Acupuncture..
”Cameras & pictures accompanied me wherever I went - and some of the pictures taken still 'speak to me' after all these years. This book is a first collection of those which stood the test of time."
